Established in 2000, East Coast Aquatics Inc. has provided environmental services across Nova Scotia reaching from Yarmouth to Sydney and across Atlantic Canada. Our staff have a diversity of skill sets and backgrounds allowing us to cover a multitude of environmental projects on the land and in the water. We also have a number of local professional associates that we draw on to ensure we address our clients' needs.

Mike founded East Coast Aquatics in 2000, returning to his hometown of Bridgetown after spending time in British Columbia working for the British Columbia Ministry of Environment restoring salmonid stream habitat across the Cariboo/Chilcotin/Central Coast of British Columbia. He has 25 years of experience specializing in environmental effects monitoring, with emphasis on aquatic habitats and organisms, and the design and restoration of streams and wetland habitats.

Having worked in government as well the private and non-governmental sectors, Andy brings to ECA a breadth of experience in developing solutions to complex environmental challenges. Andy has two and a half decades of hands-on environmental science experience spanning Canada, the United Kingdom and Malawi. He provides a broad suite of aquatic and terrestrial science field skills, together with strong office-based analysis services.

The latest addition to the team as our environmental consultant, Stephanie recently completed her MSc. at Acadia University focusing her research on the impact of highway development on wildlife and the efficiency of wildlife passageways installed in Nova Scotia. Through her graduate degree and environmental contract work, she has extensive experience in terrestrial and aquatic systems, conducting countless surveys on waterfowl, mammals, herptofauna, fish, soils, and vegetation.

Angus has 20 years of heavy equipment operation experience. He joined ECA in 2015 to aid in the restoration of stream and wetland habitat using the company's excavators. Angus' professional credentials include CSTS and OSSA certified; heavy equipment operation and preventative maintenance certified; electric overhead crane certified; Fall Protection and Arrest training; and fork lift certified.
